ASU FAULT CODES / ASU ERROR CODES

Active Seat Control Unit – The ActiveSeat Control Unit (ASU) receives direct input signals from sensors and switches such as: the seat position sensor, the seat accelerometer sensor, the ActiveSeat height adjustment switch, the firmness control switch ActiveSeat, Operator Presence Switch, ActiveSeat Compressor Assembly, ActiveSeat Raise/Lower Solenoid, and ActiveSeat Flow Control Solenoid), and then performs the appropriate functions as required. The combination of operator commands and sensor signals received by the control unit allow seat height and suspension to be maintained when driving over rough terrain. Seat height and suspension are maintained using a hydraulic height system and a pneumatic suspension system.

John Deere ASU fault codes / John Deere ASU diagnostic trouble codes

NOTE:This page only indicates the meaning of the fault codes. For complete troubleshooting information, see the technical manuals.

ASU 000629.12 (ASU 629.12)— ASU Control Unit Fault
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that its software failed to execute in allotted time.
Control unit response: Seat operation or performance may be limited

ASU 524002.31 (ASU 524002.31)— Active Seat Pressure Control Solenoid Fault
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects current from the pressure control solenoid circuit when commanded OFF, or current is not sensed when solenoid is commanded ON.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active

ASU 524003.02 (ASU 524003.02)— Active Seat Firmness Control Switch Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that two or more of the seat firmness control switch circuits are in conflict or undefined.
Control unit response: Seat operation or performance may be limited

ASU 524004.02 (ASU 524004.02)— Active Seat Height Control Switch Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that two or more seat height control switch circuits are in conflict or undefined.
Control unit response: Seat operation or performance may be limited

ASU 524006.08 (ASU 524006.08)— Active Seat Vent ON Too Long
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat vent (bleed) valve solenoid is energized for too long while seat height has not dropped down to lower ride zone limit.
Attention: This code is intended to detect a defective or blocked vent valve, or a jammed seat linkage.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code displayed

ASU 524007.08 (ASU 524007.08)— Active Seat Compressor Assembly ON Too Long
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat compressor assembly is ON continuously too long while seat height remains below lower ride zone limit.
Attention: This code is intended to detect a defective compressor, a bad relay, air leak, or a jammed seat linkage.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code displayed

ASU 524008.13 (ASU 524008.13)— ASU Not Calibrated
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat raise/lower solenoid or seat position sensor are not calibrated or failed during calibration.
Control unit response: Seat operation or performance may be limited

ASU 524010.31 (ASU 524010.31)— Active Seat Raise/Lower Solenoid Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects current from the seat raise/lower solenoid circuit when commanded OFF, or current is not sensed when solenoid is commanded ON.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active

ASU 524011.03 (ASU 524011.03)— Active Seat Accelerometer Circuit Voltage High
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat accelerometer circuit voltage is above 4.5 V.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active

ASU 524011.04 (ASU 524011.04)— Active Seat Accelerometer Circuit Voltage Low
Code caused by: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat accelerometer circuit voltage is below 1.5 V.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active

ASU 524011.08 (ASU 524011.08)— Active Seat Accelerometer Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat accelerometer circuit voltage is not changing while seat control state is active.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active

ASU 524012.03 (ASU 524012.03)— Active Seat Position Sensor Circuit Voltage High
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat position sensor circuit voltage is above 5.0 V.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active

ASU 524012.04 (ASU 524012.04)— Active Seat Position Sensor Circuit Voltage Low
Code Caused By: Active seat unit (ASU) detects that the seat position sensor circuit voltage is below 0.5 V.
Control unit response: Seat disabled while code is active
