PL1 ERROR CODES / PL1 FAULT CODES

The PL1 control software is used for activation of park lock solenoid 1 (DirectDrive transmission).
Location: Included in control unit for gear shifting (DirectDrive transmission)
The control softwares PL1, PL2, PL3 and PL4 monitor and control engagement and disengagement of the park lock. The following information is processed and implemented:
– Come-home connector position
– Reverse drive lever position
– Engine speed
– Vehicle speed
– Status of park lock solenoid 1 (DirectDrive transmission)
– Status of park lock solenoid 2 (DirectDrive transmission)
In come-home mode, the following signals are also required:
Position of clutch pedal potentiometer Supply voltage (ELX)

PL1 000237.12 (PL1 237.12)— VIN Information Incorrect
Vehicle identification number from at least one other control software not received or received incorrectly.
Reaction of the control software: Limited function of the vehicle.

PL1 000237.14 (PL1 237.14)— VIN Information, System De-Activated
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the VIN security function was not enabled due to an internal problem. This indicates an incorrect reprogramming of the control software.
Reaction of Control Software: Limited function of vehicle.

PL1 000237.31 (PL1 237.31)— VIN Information Incorrect
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the vehicle identification number from other control units / control software is not received or is incorrectly received. All active VIN participants have to send the programmed vehicle identification number to the control software at regular intervals.
Reaction of Control Software: Limited function of vehicle.

PL1 000629.06 (PL1 629.06)— Control Unit, Current Too High
The control software detected too high current in the control unit for gear shifting (DirectDrive transmission). Driver outputs at the control unit are switched off.

PL1 000629.12 (PL1 629.12)— Control Software Internal Fault
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that too much time has elapsed (watchdog).
Reaction of Control Software: Limited or no function of the vehicle.

PL1 000630.02 (PL1 630.02)— Control Software, Internal Error
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the internal memory contains an incorrect entry. Reprogram the control software.

PL1 000630.13 (PL1 630.13)— Driver Not Calibrated
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the internal memory contains an incorrect entry. Reprogram the control software.

PL1 000639.12 (PL1 639.12)— Vehicle CAN Bus (500 kBd), High Error Rate
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software receives too many incorrect CAN Bus messages or if it detects a general problem in the connection to the vehicle CAN Bus (500 kBd).
Reaction of Control Software: Limited or no function of the control software.

PL1 000639.14 (PL1 639.14)— Vehicle CAN Bus (500 kBd), Very High Error Rate
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software receives too many incorrect CAN Bus messages or if it detects a general problem in the connection to the vehicle CAN Bus (500 kBd).
Reaction of Control Software: Limited or no function of the control software.

PL1 001231.12 (PL1 1231.12)— Drive Train CAN Bus (1000 kBd), High Error Rate
Unable to process all CAN Bus messages received. This is possibly caused by a CAN Bus overload or an internal control unit fault.
Reaction of the control software: Limited or no function of the control software.

PL1 001231.14 (PL1 1231.14)— Drive Train CAN Bus (1000 kBd), High Error Rate
Too many incorrect CAN Bus messages received. This indicates a general problem at the connection to the Drive Train CAN Bus (1000 kBd).
Reaction of the control software: Limited or no function of the control software.

PL1 002071.09 (PL1 2071.09)— Incorrect CAN Bus Message, Information from CCU Control Software
Data transfer problem between the CCU control software and PL1 control software. This indicates a problem in the CAN Bus or in the transmitting control software.
Reaction of the control software: Limited or no function of the control software.

PL1 002168.09 (PL1 2168.09)— Incorrect CAN Bus Message, Information from PL3 Control Software
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if a data transfer problem occurs between the PL1 control software and the PL3 control software. Reception of messages sent on the CAN Bus by the PL3 control software is intermittent or non-existent. This indicates an open circuit in the CAN Bus, a short circuit or faulty CAN Bus terminators.
Reaction of Control Software: Limited or no function of the control software.

PL1 002169.09 (PL1 2169.09)— Incorrect CAN Bus Message, Information from PL4 Control Software
