PLC FAULT CODES / PLC ERROR CODES

John Deere PLC fault codes / John Deere PLC diagnostic trouble codes

NOTE:This page only indicates the meaning of the fault codes. For complete troubleshooting information, see the technical manuals.

PLC Control Unit – Electronic Park Lock with AutoPowr/IVT Transmission

PLC 000629.12 (PLC 629.12)— Control Unit Internal Fault
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if an electronic malfunction is registered in the control unit.

PLC 000639.12 (PLC 639.12)— Control Unit Internal Fault
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if an electronic malfunction is registered in the control unit.

PLC 000639.13 (PLC 639.13)— Power Train CAN BUS, High Error Rate
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit receives incorrect CAN BUS messages or if it detects a general problem in the connection to the power train CAN BUS.

PLC 000639.19 (PLC 639.19)— Power Train CAN BUS, Very High Error Rate
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit receives too many incorrect CAN BUS messages or if it detects a general problem in the connection to the power train CAN BUS.

PLC 328010.31 — B84 Wheel Speed Sensor, Voltage Too Low
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit detects that the voltage at the signal input for wheel speed sensor (B84) is too low. This indicates a short to ground in the circuit.

PLC 328012.31 — B84 Wheel Speed Sensor, Voltage Too High
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit detects that the voltage at the signal input for wheel speed sensor (B84) is too high. This indicates that circuit is shorted to a supply lead or is open.

PLC 328016.31 — B90 Park Lock Pressure Sensor, Voltage Too High
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if the control unit detects a voltage in excess of 4.8 volts at the signal input for park lock pressure sensor (B90). This indicates a short to a supply lead somewhere in the circuit.

PLC 328017.31 — B90 Park Lock Pressure Sensor, Voltage Too Low
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if the control unit detects a voltage of less than 0.3 volts at the signal input for park lock pressure sensor (B90). This indicates that the circuit is shorted to ground or is open.

PLC 328020.31 — Y15/2 Park Lock Solenoid Valve 2, Shorted to Ground or Shorted Circuit
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit detects that the current at the signal input to park lock solenoid valve 2 (Y15/2) is too high or too low. This indicates that the circuit is shorted to ground or to positive.

PLC 328021.31 — Y15/2 Park Lock Solenoid Valve 2, Open Circuit
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit detects no current at the signal input to park lock solenoid valve 2 (Y15/2). This indicates that the circuit is open.

PLC 328030.31 — Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Information from TCU
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when a data transfer problem occurs between the TCU and PLC. Reception of one, several or all of the CAN messages transmitted by the TCU is intermittent or nonexistent (intermittent reception could be due to a loose wire).

PLC 328040.31 — Control Unit, Supply Voltage Too Low
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when the control unit registers a supply voltage of less than 9 volts.

PLC 328050.31 — K07/02 or K03/02 Park Lock Alarm, Open Circuit or Shorted Circuit at Supply Lead
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if one of the following situations arises:
– The power supply line, ground line or signal line is open.
– The 5volt power supply line is shorted to another (12 volts) power supply line.
K07/02 alarm is used on tractors up to Serial Number Break 2008. K03/02 alarm is used on tractors from Serial Number Break 2008.

PLC 328051.31 — K07/02 or K03/02 Park Lock Alarm, Shorted Circuit
Diagnostic trouble code PLC 328051.31 is stored if the alarm’s power supply line is shorted to the signal line or is shorted to ground. K07/02 alarm is used on tractors up to Serial Number Break 2008. K03/02 alarm is used on tractors from Serial Number Break 2008.

PLC 328061.31 — S80 Reverse Drive Lever, Signal does Not Match CAN BUS Message from TCU
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if park lock commands sent on the CAN BUS from the UIC to the PLC via the TCU do not match with the direction signals from the reverse drive lever. In its “active” state, this diagnostic trouble code also generates a diagnostic trouble code at the UIC control unit or TCU control unit.

PLC 328101.31 — B90 Park Lock Pressure Sensor, Supply Voltage Too Low
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the PLC control unit detects a voltage of less than 4.8 volts at the positive power supply lead for park lock pressure sensor (B90). This indicates a short to ground in the circuit.

PLC 328102.31 — B90 Park Lock Pressure Sensor, Supply Voltage Too High
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the PLC control unit detects a voltage of more than 5.4 volts at the positive power supply lead for park lock pressure sensor (B90). This indicates a short to a supply lead somewhere in the circuit.

PLC 328106.31 — Control Unit Internal Fault
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if an electronic malfunction is registered in the control unit.

PLC 328240.31 — Control Unit Connected to Wrong Wiring Harness Connector
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control unit detects an erroneous signal in the circuit of the control unit identification.
