The PTD control software is used for activation of proportional solenoid valves for forward clutch and reverse brake. The PTD control software is included in the control unit for range shifting (DirectDrive transmission).
The control software TID and PTD control the proportional solenoid valves for forward clutch and reverse brake. The following information is processed and implemented:

PTD 000127.01 (PTD 127.01)— Transmission Oil Pressure Too Low
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the oil pressure at the transmission oil pressure sensor is too low. An oil pressure of less than 10 bar (1000 kPa; 145 psi) was measured with transmission oil temperature above 28 °C (82 °F) and engine speed above 800 rpm. Possible causes are:
– Leakage in transmission
– Pressure regulating valve restricted or faulty
– Transmission oil pressure sensor faulty.

PTD 000127.03 (PTD 127.03)— Transmission Pressure Sensor Voltage Too High
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the voltage at the signal input of the sensor is too high. This indicates that the circuit is shorted. This diagnostic trouble code can also be generated if the hydraulic oil filter is restricted at low temperatures.

PTD 000127.04 (PTD 127.04)— Transmission Pressure Sensor Voltage Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the voltage at the signal input of thesensor is too low. This indicates that the circuit is grounded or open.

PTD 000127.12 (PTD 127.12)— Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor, Fault
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that there is a fault at the transmission oil pressure sensor.
PTD 000158.04 (PTD 158.04)— Supply Voltage (ELX) Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the supply voltage (ELX) of the control unit for range shifting is below 9 V.
Reaction of the control software: Transmission goes to neutral.
PTD 000190.18 (PTD 190.18)— INFORMATION FOR OPERATOR: Engine Speed Too Low
The engine is running at a speed of less than 300 rpm for more than 3 seconds (e.g. when the engine stalls).
PTD 000191.17 (PTD 191.17)— Transmission Output Speed Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the transmission output speed is below 90 rpm for more than 3 seconds and diagnostic trouble code PTD 524226.08 is not active.

PTD 000628.02 (PTD 628.02)— Control Software Internal Fault
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects a faulty EOL parameter during power-up. The parameters are reset to default values.

PTD 003509.04 (PTD 3509.04)— 5-Volt Supply Voltage, Voltage Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software detects that the voltage at the positive lead of the voltage supply for 5-volt components is below 4.75 V. This indicates a grounded circuit.

PTD 520589.02 — Wheel Speed Sensor (Channel 2), Incorrect Speed
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if the control software expects but cannot receive the wheel speed signal (channel 2). This code can also be generated if there is a difference of more than 10 km/h (6.2 mph) compared to the wheel speed sensor (channel 1).

PTD 524193.14 — INFORMATION FOR OPERATOR: Transmission Warm-up Routine Active
The information for the operator (diagnostic trouble code) is generated if the transmission oil temperature is below -15°C (5°F) and, therefore, driving is not possible. During the warm-up routine, all clutches, gears and ranges of the transmission are automatically shifted to warm up the oil. Operator commands are ignored as long as the warm-up routine is active.
