The PowerShift Transmission Control Unit (PTP) is contained in the vehicle controller with the Chassis Control Unit (CCU) and the Vehicle Load Center (VLC) control unit.
PTP monitors direct inputs from sensors & switches (Hydraulic Oil Temperature Sensor, Fuel Level Sensor, Hydraulic Oil Filter Restriction Sensor, Park Brake Pressure Sensor, Clutch Enable Pressure Sensor, Diagnostic Hydraulic Pressure Connector, Air Brake Pressure Sensor, Carrier Speed Sensor, MFWD/ILS™ Speed Sensor, primary transmission speed sensor, secondary transmission speed sensor) and indirect inputs from other control units (via Controller Area Network [CAN] Bus messages), then executes the appropriate direction and speed functions via transmission components (B clutch (BC) solenoid, reverse clutch (CR) solenoid, clutch 1 (C1) solenoid, clutch 2 (C2) solenoid, C clutch (CC) solenoid, D clutch (DC) solenoid, A brake (AB) solenoid, clutch 3 (C3) solenoid, clutch 4 (C4) solenoid, park brake supply solenoid, park sump block solenoid, and air trailer brake solenoid).

PTP 000092.16 (PTP 92.16)— Engine Load Excessive In 4R/5R
Code Caused By: The service code indicates that the transmission shifts from 3rd to 4th or 5th reverse while the engine speed is less than the minimum value programmed in the PTP.

PTP 000123.03 (PTP 123.03)— Clutch Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Voltage High
Code caused by: The code is stored when the voltage from the clutch pressure sensor to the PTP control unit is higher than 4.9V.
PTP 000123.04 (PTP 123.04)— Clutch Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Voltage Low
Code caused by: The voltage from the clutch pressure sensor to the PTP control unit is less than 0.1 V.
PTP 000123.18 (PTP 123.18)— Clutch Pressure Low
Code Caused By: Operator attempts to shift above 13th forward or 3rd reverse with the clutch partially engaged.
PTP 000127.01 (PTP 127.01)— Transmission Oil Pressure Very Low
Code Caused By: Transmission oil pressure below acceptable level. Inspect tractor and implement for obvious signs of hydraulic oil leaks. If CCU code 002602.01 is present, diagnose that code first.
PTP 000158.01 (PTP 158.01)— PTP Switched Supply Voltage Low
Code caused by: Supply voltage to the PTP less than 9.0 V for more than 2.0 seconds.
PTP 000168.03 (PTP 168.03)— PTP Unswitched Supply Voltage High
Code caused by: Supply voltage to the PTP control unit greater than 16.0 V for more than 2.0 seconds.
PTP 000168.04 (PTP 168.04)— PTP Unswitched Supply Voltage Low
Code caused by: Supply voltage to the PTP control unit below 10.5 V for more than 2.0 seconds.
PTP 000177.17 (PTP 177.17)— Top Gear Limited Due to Cold Oil
Code Caused By: The operator tries to shift to a gear higher than 14th forward with cold oil.
PTP 000190.18 (PTP 190.18)— Engine Speed too Low for Transmission Conditions
Code Caused By: The operator tries to make a shift without having enough engine speed. It is stored when the axle speed is above 133 rpm while the engine speed is below 2100 rpm. The PTP commands the engine to run at 2100 rpm. Also, if the axle speed is between 106 and 133 rpm and the engine speed is less than 1750 rpm, the PTP will command the engine to run at 1750 rpm, but no alarm or code will be generated.

Code caused by: The PTP control unit detects that it is carrying out a software update process.
PTP 000629.12 (PTP 629.12)— PTP Control Unit Fault
PTP control. Code Caused By: The PTP software did not run at the specified interval.
PTP 000630.02 (PTP 630.02)— PTP Calibration Failed / Invalid Data.
Code caused by: Calibration memory failed at startup. This code can generate the code 000630.14.
PTP 000630.14 (PTP 630.14)— Transmission Not Calibrated
Code caused by: The PTP is being calibrated and has never been calibrated or a failed calibration was stored.

Code caused by: Failure in the clutch solenoid valve 1 (C1) circuit detected by the PTP electronic control unit.

PTP 523953.02 — Speed Control Lever Sensor Circuit Conflict
Code caused by: Conflict between run command message, park signal, no neutral signal, and transmission enable low signal.
PTP 523960.31 — Operator Not Seated During Reverser Command
Code caused by: The operator is not present when trying to change gear. Occurs when a shift from NEUTRAL to a gear is attempted and the operator is not in the operator’s seat.

PTP 524020.31 — Transmission In Gear at Power Up
Code caused by: Stored when the tractor is started in gear and not in neutral.
NOTE: This code is for informational purposes and should not indicate a problem with the tractor. The operator should place the joystick in neutral before attempting to engage a gear.
PTP 524228.05 — Park Sump Block Solenoid Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Park sump lock solenoid circuit current low.
PTP 524228.11 — Park Sump Block Valve Fault
Code Caused By: Parking sump lockout valve energized but sump lockout pressure is low.
PTP 524232.03 — Park Brake Pressure Sensor Circuit Voltage High
Code caused by: The parking brake pressure sensor voltage is above the valid range.
PTP 524232.04 — Park Brake Pressure Sensor Circuit Voltage Low
Code caused by: Low voltage in the parking brake pressure sensor circuit.
PTP 524232.16 — Park Brake Pressure High/Park Commanded
Code Caused By: Parking brake pressure greater than 1305 kPa (13 bar) (190 psi) with active command to apply the parking brake.
PTP 524232.17 — Park Brake Pressure Low/Park Not Commanded
Code Caused By: Parking brake pressure less than 1305 kPa (13 bar) (190 psi) with active parking brake release command.
PTP 524239.31 — No Motion/Engine Running
Code caused by: There is no movement of the vehicle at the expected time.
PTP 524248.31 — Vehicle Motion With Park Brake Engaged
Code Caused By: The parking brake is applied but the tractor is moving. NOTE: If this code has been generated previously, then PTP 524250.31 will activate each time the joystick is moved to the PARK position.
PTP 524250.31 — Park Brake Previously Failed/May Not Hold
Code caused by: Parked vehicle and stored PTP 524248.31 or PTP 524250.31 diagnostic parking codes.
NOTE: PTP code 524248.31 clears automatically when the fault condition is cleared. PTP code 524250.31 is generated if code 524248.31 is previously stored or if code 524250.31 is previously stored and the joystick is in park. The only way to clear the PTP 524250.31 code once it has been generated is to clear both codes using the CommandCenter™.
PTP 524267.15 — C Clutch (CC) or D Clutch (DC) Slipping Too Long
Code Caused By: The code is stored when the DC or DC clutches continue to slip beyond the limit set with PTP service code 524267.15. The PTP downshifts the transmission to protect itself. If a gear is engaged with the C clutch (6th, 8th, 10th, 12th), the transmission will only downshift to the next lower gear. If it’s in 13th gear, shift to 11th.
PTP 524267.16 — Clutch slips too long.
Code Caused By: This code is stored when the PTP calculates that the AB, BC, CC, or DC clutch elements are absorbing too much heat, implying that the elements are slipping.
PTP 524267.31 — A Brake (AB) or B Clutch (BC) Slipping Too Long
Code Caused By: This code is stored when the PTP calculates that the clutch elements are absorbing too much heat, which implies that the elements are slipping.
PTP 524271.05 — C Clutch (CC) Valve Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Stored when a change is made and the PTP detects a fault in the circuit.
PTP 524272.05 — B Clutch (BC) Valve Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Stored when a gear change is made and the PTP detects a fault in the valve circuit.
PTP 524273.05 — A Brake (AB ) Valve Circuit Fault
Code Caused By: Stored when a gear change is made and the PTP detects a fault in the valve circuit.
PTP 524277.00 — Engine Speed Too High For Downshift
Code Caused By: The operator tries to downshift with very high engine speed.

PTP 524279.31 — Operator Not Seated With Transmission In Neutral
Code Caused By: The operator is not in his seat with the transmission in neutral.
PTP 524280.31 — Vehicle Motion While Shifting to Park
Code Caused By: Stored when PTP is not in diagnostic mode, PARK is commanded but parking brake is released because wheel speed is greater than 4 km/h (2.48 mph).
