SIC 000158.03 (SIC 158.03)— Control Unit, Supply
Voltage Too High The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the
unswitched supply voltage is above 16 volts.
SIC 000158.04 (SIC 158.04)— Control Unit, Supply
Voltage Too Low The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the
unswitched supply voltage is below 10 volts.
SIC 000177.01 (SIC 177.01)— Hydraulic Oil Temperature Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the control unit registers a hydraulic oil temperature of less than 25 °C (13 °F). The function of the EICV and ESCV is temperaturedependent:
• hydraulic oil temperature below 25 °C (13 °F): EICV and ESCV functions not available.
• hydraulic oil temperature between 15° C and 25° C (5°F und 13° F): EICV and ESCV functions not available or impaired.
SIC 000628.12 (SIC 628.12)— Control Unit Internal Fault
If a fault occurs when the internal module intervenes, this diagnostic trouble code is triggered.
SIC 000629.12 (SIC 629.12)— Control Unit Internal Fault
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the SIC control unit internally detects that too much time has elapsed (watchdog).
SIC 000630.13 (SIC 630.13)— Control Unit Not Calibrated
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if one or more of the functions in the control unit are active, but have not yet been calibrated.
SIC 000639.14 (SIC 639.14)— Vehicle CAN BUS, Very High Error Rate
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if the SIC control unit recognizes a very high error rate in the incoming CAN BUS messages. This indicates a general problem in the vehicle CAN BUS.
SIC 001079.03 (SIC 1079.03)— 5Volt Power Supply Too High
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if a problem occurs at the power supply for the 5volt components (potentiometers for control levers and multifunction lever, and the ESCV adjusting knob).
SIC 001079.04 (SIC 1079.04)— 5Volt Power Supply Too Low
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if a problem occurs at the power supply for the 5volt components (potentiometers for control levers and multifunction lever, and the ESCV adjusting knob).
SIC 002000.09 (SIC 2000.09)— Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Information from ECU
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when a data transfer problem occurs between the ECU and SIC.
SIC 002003.09 (SIC 2003.09)— Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Information from EPC or TCU
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when a data transfer problem occurs between the EPC or TCU and SIC.
SIC 002033.09 (SIC 2033.09)— Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Information from BCU
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when a data transfer problem occurs between the BCU and SIC. Reception of CAN messages that are required for operation of the ESCV / EICV control unit is intermittent or nonexistent (intermittent reception could be due to a loose wire).
SIC 002155.09 (SIC 2155.09)— Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Information from Power Module (PC5)
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem transferring data between power module PC5 and the SIC control unit. Reception of one, several or all CAN messages transmitted by the power module PC5 is intermittent or nonexistent (intermittent reception could be due to a loose wire).
SIC 002246.09 (SIC 2246.09)— Incorrect CAN BUS Message, Information from DSM
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when a data transfer problem occurs between the DSM and SIC. Reception of one, several or all of the CAN messages transmitted by the DSM is intermittent or nonexistent (intermittent reception could be due to a loose wire).
SIC 003598.04 (SIC 3598.04)— S64 MultiFunction Lever, Power Supply for Functions 4 and 5 Too Low The relay of the SIC functions 4 and 5 is powered by a SIC output (pin 2K1, lead 7088).
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the voltage is too low. This indicates a short to ground.
SIC 523438.02 — Control Unit Internal Fault
If a fault occurs when the internal module (EEPROM) intervenes, this diagnostic trouble code is triggered.
SIC 523652.02 — Control Unit Internal Fault
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if an internal fault occurs in the SIC control unit.
SIC 523790.00 — EICV, Current Overload Protection Active at Power Module PC5
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if power module PC5 measures more than 20 amps at the power output to the EICV stepper motors. This indicates that circuit is shorted to ground or that there is a defective component in the circuit.
SIC 523790.01 — EICV, Power Supply Fault at Power Module PC5
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the power module PC5 registers a supply voltage of less than 3 volts at the EICV stepper motor outputs when switching on the EICV stepper motors (M12 M14).
SIC 523790.03 — EICVs Off, Voltage Present at Power Module PC5
This diagnostic trouble code is generated when power module PC5 measures voltage at the power output to the EICV stepper motors. This indicates that circuit is shorted or that there is a defective component in the circuit.
SIC 523790.04 — EICV, (Switched) Current Too High at Power Module PC5
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if power module PC5 measures more than 20 amps at the power output to the EICV stepper motors. This indicates that circuit is shorted to ground or that there is a defective component in the circuit.
SIC 523790.05 — EICV On, Current Too Low at Power Module PC5
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when power module PC5 does not measure current at the power output to the EICV stepper motors. This indicates that circuit is open or that there is a defective component in the circuit.
SIC 523790.09 — EICV, Incorrect CAN BUS Message from SIC (Power Module PC5)
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem transferring data between power module PC5 and the SIC control unit. Reception of one, several or all of the CAN messages transmitted by the SIC to power module PC5 is intermittent or nonexistent (intermittent reception could be due to a loose wire).
SIC 523790.11 — Control Unit Internal Fault
If a fault occurs when the internal module intervenes, this diagnostic trouble code is triggered.
SIC 523790.12 — EICVs Off, Current Present at Power Module PC5
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the power module PC5 measures a current of more than 1 amp at the power supply output to the EICV stepper motors (lead 7045) with the multifunction lever not actuated. This indicates a short in the circuit or an internal fault in the power module.
SIC 523790.19 — EICV, Incorrect CAN BUS Message (Power Module PC5)
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if the outputs for switching the EICV stepper motors are energized by more than one control unit.
SIC 523794.00 — ESCV, Current Overload Protection Active at Power Module PC5
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if power module PC5 measures more than 20 amps at the power output to the ESCV stepper motors. This indicates that circuit is shorted to ground or that there is a defective component in the circuit.
SIC 523794.01 — ESCV, Power Supply Fault at Power Module PC5
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the power module PC5 registers a supply voltage of less than 3 volts at the ESCV stepper motor outputs when switching on the ESCV stepper motors (A36 A39).

SIC 523794.09 — ESCV, Incorrect CAN BUS Message from SIC (Power Module PC5)
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem transferring data between power module PC5 and the SIC control unit. Reception of one, several or all of the CAN messages transmitted by the SIC to power module PC5 is intermittent or nonexistent (intermittent reception could be due to a loose wire).
SIC 523794.11 — Control Unit Internal Fault
If a fault occurs when the internal module intervenes, this diagnostic trouble code is triggered.
SIC 523794.12 — ESCV, Unswitched Current Present at Power Module PC5
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the power module PC5 measures a current of more than 1 amp at the power supply output to the ESCV stepper motors (lead 7031) with the multifunction lever not actuated. This indicates a short in the circuit or an internal fault in the power module.
SIC 523794.19 — ESCV, Incorrect CAN BUS Message (Power Module PC5)
This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if the outputs for switching the ESCV stepper motors are energized by more than one control unit.
SIC 523816.07 — S64 MultiFunction Lever, Activation Switch for EICVs Faulty
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the control unit detects incorrect signals from the activation switch.
SIC 523817.09 — A39 Stepper Motor ESCV 4, No Response
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 4 and the control unit. During operation, following a successful initialization (link made after ignition ON), the control unit fails to establish a connection to the stepper motor, or makes only intermittent contact (possibly due to a loose wire).
SIC 523817.14 — A39 Stepper Motor ESCV 4, Incorrect CAN BUS Message from SIC
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 4 and the control unit. Intermittently, the stepper motor cannot make any connection to the control unit via the CAN BUS for ESCV/EICV. The stepper motor itself is not responsible for this diagnostic trouble code.
SIC 523818.09 — A38 Stepper Motor ESCV 3, No Response
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 3 and the control unit. During operation, following a successful initialization (link made after ignition ON), the control unit fails to establish a connection to the stepper motor, or makes only intermittent contact (possibly due to a loose wire).
SIC 523818.14 — A38 Stepper Motor ESCV 3, Incorrect CAN BUS Message from SIC
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 3 and the control unit. Intermittently, the stepper motor cannot make any connection to the control unit via the CAN BUS for ESCV/EICV. The stepper motor itself is not responsible for this diagnostic trouble code.
SIC 523819.09 — A37 Stepper Motor ESCV 2, No Response
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 2 and the control unit. During operation, following a successful initialization (link made after ignition ON), the control unit fails to establish a connection to the stepper motor, or makes only intermittent contact (possibly due to a loose wire). The diagnostic trouble code triggers the alarm level “Information”.
SIC 523819.14 — A37 Stepper Motor ESCV 2, Incorrect CAN BUS Message from SIC
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 2 and the control unit. Intermittently, the stepper motor cannot make any connection to the control unit via the CAN BUS for ESCV/EICV. The stepper motor itself is not responsible for this diagnostic trouble code.
SIC 523825.09 — A36 Stepper Motor ESCV 1, No Response
This diagnostic trouble code is generated if there is a problem in transmitting data between the stepper motor of ESCV 1 and the control unit. This diagnostic trouble code is triggered if a nonexistent function (S134/152 Switches for Remote Control of ESCV) is activated at address SIC044.
SIC 523838.03 — S64 MultiFunction Lever (Potentiometer) EICV 3, Voltage Too High
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the EICV 3 potentiometer signal voltage is above the specified range.
SIC 523838.04 — S64 MultiFunction Lever (Potentiometer) EICV 3, Voltage Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the EICV 3 potentiometer signal voltage is below the specified range.
SIC 523838.31 — S64 MultiFunction Lever (Potentiometer or Switch) EICV 3, Faulty
This diagnostic trouble code is saved if the potentiometer signal voltage of EICV 3 is not to specification, or if the status of the switch on the multifunction lever does not correspond to the signal voltage of the potentiometer.

SIC 523869.03 — M12 EICV 1 Stepper Motor, Temperature Too High
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when a temperature of more than 100°C (212°F) is measured at the stepper motor. The stepper motor does not become operable again until the temperature drops below 100°C (212°F).
SIC 523869.04 — M12 Stepper Motor EICV 1, Temperature Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the stepper motor measures a temperature of less than 45° C (49° F) at the coil.
SIC 523869.18 — M12 Stepper Motor EICV 1, Hydraulic Oil Temperature and Supply Voltage Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated if supply voltage at the stepper motor of EICV 1 is between 9 and 11 volts and hydraulic oil temperature is between 25° C (13° F) and 15° C (5 °F).
SIC 523870.03 — M13 EICV 2 Stepper Motor, Temperature Too High
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when a temperature of more than 100°C (212°F) is measured at the stepper motor. The stepper motor does not become operable again until the temperature drops below 100°C (212°F).
SIC 523870.04 — M13 Stepper Motor EICV 2, Temperature Too Low
The diagnostic trouble code is generated when the stepper motor measures a temperature of less than 45° C (49° F) at the coil.

The diagnostic trouble code is generated if system voltage (battery voltage) at the stepper motor of ESCV 4 is between 9 and 11 volts and hydraulic oil temperature is between 25° C (13° F) and 15° C (5 °F).
SIC 523894.00 — A39 Stepper Motor ESCV 4, Supply Voltage Out of Valid Range High
