John Deere SV1 fault codes / John Deere SV1 diagnostic trouble codes
NOTE:This page only indicates the meaning of the fault codes. For complete troubleshooting information, see the technical manuals.
SCV control lever communicates its position to the ACU. This information is sent to the SCC through tractor CAN bus. It is then converted and sent to appropriate SV control unit through SCC/SV CAN Bus. SCV control lever will provide a means of controlling SVs in a number of different ways, depending on operation mode or position of
lever.
When lever is moved to extend or retract detent position and released to center, the SV will be commanded to fully extend or fully retract position. The detent action will take place after the lever has been released to the neutral region. When the lever is released from detent, it must return to the neutral region within 0.8 seconds or the detent action will not be executed. This allows a detent action to be canceled if the detent was inadvertently entered while attempting to move the lever to the maximum associated midrange position. There will be no time limit on how long the lever can be held in the detent position. However, while held in this position, the SV response will be as if the lever was at the maximum associated midrange position.
John Deere SV1 fault codes / John Deere SV1 diagnostic trouble codes
SV1 000158.03 (SV1 158.03 )— SV I Switched Supply Voltage High
Code Caused By: Switched supply voltage to Selective Control Valve Unit I (SV I) above 16.0 V.
NOTE: Associated Codes: This code and other 000158.XX codes may be present in other control units. Since Vehicle Load Center (VLC) control unit wake-up circuit is voltage source, perform VLC code diagnostics first.
SV1 000158.04 (SV1 158.04)— SV I Switched Supply Voltage Low
Code Caused By: Switched supply voltage to Selective Control Valve Unit I (SV I) below 9.0 V.
NOTE: Associated Codes: This code and other 000158.XX codes may be present in other control units. Since Vehicle Load Center (VLC) control unit wake-up circuit is voltage source, perform VLC code diagnostics first.
SV1 002034.09 (SV1 2034.09)— SCC Message Missing
Code Caused By: Selective Control Valve Unit I (SV I) not receiving required messages from the SCC.
SV1 004084.07 (SV1 4084.07)— SV I Not in Float Position
Code Caused By: Selective Control Valve I (SV I) not going into FLOAT position.
SV1 004084.16 (SV1 4084.16)— SV I Overshot Commanded Position
Code Caused By: Selective Control Valve I (SV I) spool is over-shooting its desired position.
SV1 004084.18 (SV1 4084.18)— SV I Failed to Reach Commanded Position
Code Caused By: Selective Control Valve I (SV I) spool is under-shooting its desired position.
NOTE: If multiple valves are generating a 004084.18 code, refer to Determining Total Flow Demand in Operator’s Manual to correctly set flow.
SV1 004085.07 (SV1 4085.07)— SV I Not in NEUTRAL Position
Code Caused By: Selective Control Valve I (SV I) is not in NEUTRAL position. Code can also be caused by moving control lever with key on, engine off.
SV1 004085.12 (SV1 4085.12)— SV1 Control Unit Fault
Code Caused By: Selective Control Valve Unit I (SV I) software failed to execute in allotted time.
