Massey Ferguson Air conditioning error codes

1 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: Mixed air temperature sensor 1 fault
Cause: Sensor open

2 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: Mixed air temperature sensor 1 fault
Sensor short-circuited

3 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: Mixed air temperature sensor 2 fault
Cause: Sensor open

4 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: Mixed air temperature sensor 2 fault
Cause: Sensor short-circuited

5 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: Ambient temperature sensor fault
Cause: Sensor open

6 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: Ambient temperature sensor fault
Cause: Sensor short-circuited

7 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: External air temperature sensor fault
Cause: Sensor open

8 – The water valve opening is controlled manually. The air conditioning is controlled manually.
Component concerned: External air temperature sensor fault
Cause: Sensor short-circuited

9 – The air conditioning is turned off and cooling is not possible.
Component concerned: Evaporator temperature sensor fault
Cause: Sensor open

10 – The air conditioning is turned off and cooling is not possible.
Component concerned: Evaporator temperature sensor fault
Cause: Sensor short-circuited

11 – The system takes a default value of 300 W/m².
Component concerned: Solar sensor failure
Cause: The signal from the solar sensor is outside its limits or is giving an impossible value.

14 – The recirculation actuator (no. 1 and 2) is automatically set to the “external air” position.
Component concerned: Recirculation actuator no. 1 input error
Cause: The signal from the potentiometer of recirculation actuator no. 1 is outside its operating range.

15 – The recirculation actuator (no. 1 and 2) is automatically set to the “external air” position.
Component concerned: Potentiometer recirculation actuator (no. 1 & 2) reference error
Cause: The potentiometer reference is short circuited to the earth.

16 – The system switches to automatic mode at a temperature selected by default (21°C).
Component concerned: Input error from selected temperature potentiometer
Cause: The signal is outside its operating range.

17 – The system controls the fan speed automatically.
Component concerned: Input error from fan speed potentiometer
Cause: The signal is outside its operating range.

18 – The fan does not turn.
Component concerned: Ambient temperature sensor fan fault

19 – The stepper motor does not operate correctly.
Component concerned: Stepper motor output error (water valve)

20 – The recirculation actuator motor output (no. 1 and 2) is deactivated.
Cause: Recirculation actuator motor (no. 1 and 2) output error
Component concerned: The recirculation actuator does not operate correctly.

21 – The relay does not operate correctly.
Component concerned: Air conditioning relay output error

22 – The relay does not operate correctly.
Component concerned: Water pump relay output error

23 – The relay does not operate correctly.
Component concerned: Fan relay output error

24 – The system considers the last value received within 2 seconds. If no CAN message is received during this time, the system takes a default value of 1500 rpm.
Component concerned: Engine speed error
Cause: The CAN message is not valid.

25 – If no CAN message is received, the system considers the last value received within 2 seconds (20 consecutive messages).
Component concerned: Vehicle speed error
Cause: The CAN message is not valid.

26 – The system considers the last value received within 10 seconds. If no CAN message is received during this time, the system takes a default value of 90°C.
Component concerned: Engine water temperature error
Cause: The CAN message is not valid.

27 – The signal is outside its operating range.
Component concerned: Fan speed controller no. 1 output error

28 – The control unit operates in degraded mode.
Failure due to undervoltage
The supply signal is lower than the minimum value.

29 – The control unit is deactivated
Component concerned: Failure due to overvoltage
Cause: The supply signal is higher than the maximum value.

30 – The signal is outside its operating range.
Component concerned: Fan speed controller no. 2 output error

31 – The signal is outside its operating range.
Component concerned: Fan speed controller no. 1 return error

32 – The signal is outside its operating range.
Component concerned: Fan speed controller no. 2 return error

33 – The recirculation actuator (no. 1 and 2) is automatically set to the “external air” position.
Component concerned: Recirculation actuator no. 2 input error
Cause: The signal from the potentiometer of recirculation actuator no. 2 is outside its operating range.
