New Holland Instrument cluster fault codes

14002 – Transmission oil filter switch closed to ground on power up
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: Keyswitch is on, engine RPM is greater than 500 and the transmission oil filter switch is closed to ground during the first 5 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Faulty transmission oil filter restriction switch
2. Short in switch wiring harness
3. Faulty instrument cluster (ICU)

14003 – Hydraulic oil filter switch closed to ground on power up
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: Keyswitch is on, engine speed is greater than 500 RPM, and the hydraulic oil filter switch is closed to ground during the first 5 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Faulty hydraulic oil filter restriction switch
2. Short in switch wiring harness
3. Faulty instrument cluster (ICU).

14005 – PTO shaft speed sensor error
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: PTO shaft speed data is “ERROR” or “NOT AVAILABLE” state from PTO for 3 seconds. PTO disabled.
Possible failure modes:
1. Faulty connector
2. Faulty PTO shaft speed sensor
3. Faulty harness
4. Faulty tractor control unit (TCU)

14006 – GOV engine speed error
Cause: GOV engine speed data is “ERROR” or “NOT AVAILABLE” state for 3 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Controller communication error
2. Faulty engine speed sensor

14007 – Engine over speeding
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: Engine overspeed has been detected. Overspeed can occur both without a defect in a component (for example, when downhill driving) and with a defect (for example, when the engine controller has an error.) This fault code does not necessarily indicate an error condition but is used more for information purposes and to inhibit handling.
Possible failure modes:
1. Information code indicating that engine overspeed has been detected

14008 – Engine oil pressure sensor error
Cause: Engine oil pressure data is “ERROR” or “NOT AVAILABLE” state from the GOV for 3 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Controller communication error
2. Faulty engine oil pressure sensor

14009 – Loss of valid engine hours
Context: The loss of valid engine hours can indicate a faulty instrument cluster (ICU). If the loss of valid engine hours is the only indication of a problem with instrument cluster (ICU), continue field operation. Engine hours will accumulate from this point forward. Contact ASIST regarding recovery of lost valid engine hours.

14010 – PTO controller off line
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test for normal operation.
Cause: PTO CAN data bus fault
Possible failure modes:
1. CAN bus communication problem

14011 – All communications lost
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: Communication lost with vehicle data bus and all other controllers.
Possible failure modes:
1. CAN bus communication problem

14013 – Transmission off line
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: TRANSMISSION CAN data bus fault
Possible failure modes:
1. CAN bus communication problem

14014 – Engine coolant temperature sensor error
Cause: Engine coolant temperature data is “ERROR” or “NOT AVAILABLE” from GOV for 5 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Controller communication error
2. Faulty engine coolant temperature sensor

14015 – Engine intake air temperature sensor error
Cause: Engine intake manifold temperature data is “ERROR” or “NOT AVAILABLE” state from GOV for 5 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Controller communication error
2. Faulty engine intake air temperature sensor

14016 – Engine shutdown activated
Context: This is an informational fault code. A 30 second or 5 second timer expired and engine is shutdown. The tractor display will show a message for the problem system. Check active fault codes for the identified system.

14017 – Fuel level sensor voltage out of range low
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: Signal below 0.125 V for 15 seconds.
Possible failure modes:
1. Faulty connector
2. Faulty fuel tank level sender
3. Faulty harness
4. Faulty instrument cluster

14018 – GOV off line
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: GOV CAN data bus fault for 2 seconds
Possible failure modes:
1. CAN bus communication problem

14019 – ATC off line
NOTE: When the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.
Cause: ATC CAN data bus fault
Possible failure modes:
1. CAN bus communication problem
